I received this in my email from Chief Billy Goldfelder. This is all I know at this point. Obviously, my prayers are with Jim and his family.
"There was a nitrogen explosion at the NFA this afternoon. Initial reports are that the instructor was operating at the simulation lab, pressurizing the dry pipe training system and there was a release. The instructor, Jim Munger, a well known veteran of the NFA was seriously injured, immediately treated, stabilized and transported. NFA staff have shut the lab down pending a full investigation. Updates to follow.
We wish Jim a successful recovery and have him in our prayers.
