Even though I am a die-hard Cowboys fan...I must confess even I have always had a soft spot for the Who Dat nation, and I feel this tremendous piece of literature should be reprinted and posted throughout the entire country!

2010 SUPERBOWL SAINTS PRAYER

Oh Great, Merciful and All Powerful God: We ask that you bless and lead to victory our beloved New Orleans Saints. For over forty years, LORD, much like Your Chosen People who wandered in the desert, we, the faithful followers of the black and gold have wandered in a swamp fraught with defeat and loss. Yet we have remained faithful, FATHER. So, we, the people of the WHO DAT nation, pray today, LORD, for deliverance to the Promise Land.

Much like David did defeat the mighty giant Goliath we have vanquished two mighty opponents. We have been tested and found to be worthy and deserving of the title of NFC Champions! And now LORD, we lack but one victory. But we face a dreaded foe:

The evil hoof-footed heathens of Indianapolis led by their renowned warrior, Peyton of the Manning CLAN. With much shame we confess, LORD, he is the spawn of one of our own. Just as your own Adam begat the evil Cain, our own Archie begat the evil Peyton. So on this Lord’s Day ,we beseech Your benevolence, FATHER. Send down Your blessings on our hero, Drew Brees. Just as you gave the Archangel Michael the courage and power to defeat Lucifer and banish him from Heaven into the depths of HELL, so to give your faithful Servant Brees the keen eye and calm hand to vanquish the hoofen Manning. Anoint him with an arm gilded with zip and accuracy.

Embolden your faithful Saint, Reggie Bush, with legs that only run North and South, not East and West. Sanctify your servant, Darren Sharper, with hands that will snatch the traitor Manning’s bombs from the air and allow him to return to his promised land…the Pick 6 endzone. For on that first Sunday in February, LORD, if you allow us this Super Bowl victory, all of the Saints and their faithful followers will chant WHO DAT praises to You forever more.

The Non Believers have proclaimed that the Saints will win the Superbowl when HELL FREEZES OVER. We the true believers have noticed that this Winter has been excessively cold and view this as a sign from you that our time is now. Your true believers have often proclaimed “Next year, come Hell or High Water the Saints are going to win the Superbowl. Well Lord, we have endured HELL…We have endured High Water…It is finally Next YEAR and the chill in the air is HELL FREEZING OVER.

There will be great joy abounding in the WHO DAT capital of the Who DAT Nation - the Big Easy, and You, LORD, shall win a great victory over the evil one for on this day of our LORD, February 7th, 2010, we ask that you let the true Saints go Marching In and grant us glory in the Superbowl.
