"Does the Robot Need A License?"--IASIR Regulators Meetings: 2014 & 2015
Date: October 31, 2014 04:32PM
For those interested in the Further PI Licensing Issues, the 2015 meeting was just announced will be in New Orleans. As soon as the agenda is published I will post it here..
This years 2014 Conference in Louisville Kentucky (11/11-11/14) will address the use of robots and unmanned systems/ drones and whether they and their operators are required to be licensed.
"Recent technological advances are fundamentally altering the way security and investigative services are provided:
...*Unmanned systems/drones are performing surveillance to prevent crimes, follow criminals and conduct investigations.
*As crime becomes more complex and most fraud cases involve some electronic aspects, governments must determine whether to regulate the information security industry in the same way as physical security."
