Dryer Fire - Spontaneous Heating Oily Towels and Aprons

I am looking for information specifically related to spontaneous heating occurring inside the drum after the dryer stops its cycle. Lab testing of the cotton face towels and aprons indicated the presence of oil. I do not have access to the full lab report at this time.
I have read that SH is not common in this scenario if the cooling cycle for the dryer worked properly. The facts as I currently know them are: the dryer was run the evening prior to the fire, the dryer stopped at the end of its cycle, the towels and aprons were not removed, the position of the door is unknown but probably closed and the fire was reported within 5 hours of the dryer being used.
