You decon the hose the same as you do with other tools. ATF did a study as to what to use for tools. I would follow their suggestion.

Using this system, the evidence remains outside the unit. What you are doing is layering the debris. What is going into the vacuum is what you will be throwing away. This of the vacuum as a sifting screen. As you shake the screen the debris you do not want to retain falls through the screen. What is left is the evidence. Same here, there is a screen over the end of the hose. This allows the same debris as would be going through the screen to go into the vacuum. What the filter inside the vacuum are doing is stopping the dust from being thrown into the air where you are working.

There is no more spoilage issue than if you are using sifting screens to recover evidence.
