You are not taking evidence from inside the vacuum. The evidence remains on the surface so there is no cross contamination question. This of it as a sifting screen. What goes through the screens to the ground is not your evidence. Your evidence is what remains on your screen.
The vacuum is not to suck up the evidence. Unless I am missing it, I do not see how cross contamination can take place.
