Your question does it exist and can it take place is a complex question. You seem to be asking for an absolute one way or the other. There will be those that will say their testing disproves the existence of this condition. Others say they have seen conditions where it does take place.
Are you attempting to learn if heating of wood will lower the temperature needed for ignition?
