Where many of us dealing with the fire service which includes fire investigation believes NFPA is the ultimate it is not. Once you get outside of our little world you find ISO standards for all industries is except it over the NFPA. Many don’t remember NFPA‘s involvement trying to develop a building code to compete with the international building code. It was a disaster. I’m not even sure if they still publish their building code. I’m not against NFPA developing a document that may assist in the organizational structure of fire investigation units. I don’t think one can say That you throw out the ISO standards which of been internationally recognized and used not only in the United States but around the world for that forensic sciences.
