I wonder if good police work had somehow led authorities to these five without the assistance of the video, and confessions/admissions were generated/received, what the uproar would be if these characters were charged with arson without investigators being able to work out a solid "corpus" following standard fire investigation techniques. We sure don't work in a black and white world in this profession.
