Well, my baled hay is all burnt up,
and Farmer Joe did no Temperature- or Humidity readings (idea foreign to him)
other than "it was dry when I baled the oats 4 days before the fire";
so all these quoted humidity- & temperature tables regarding thermal runaway are of little use to me.

Local weather reports give minimums of 60- 70F and maximums of 70- to 90F
(no precipitation) the fortnight before the fire.
Bales were stacked about 3- to 4 deep (waist- to shoulder-height) inside the barn 33 days before the fire.
I just find it a bit quick, but then I'm not an agricultural type...

Did camp at a rural campsite once where the water pipes to the ablutions
were simply run under an adjacent compost heap - lovely hot showerswinking smiley
