From what I read ANAB offers the same service. It looks like they are using the same basic requirements as A2LA.
I am not that knowledgeable on this subject but the way I see it this is a third independent party that yearly validates the company or unit being accredited is follow specific recognized appropriate procedures when conducting their inspections. As to the use of the term inspection instead of investigation it appears in this use they are one and the same.
