The August issue of "Sifting the Ashes" is now available for review at www.firescientist.com. This month's issue includes an update on the Notre Dame fire, and instructions on how to contribute to the next edition of NFPA 921.
The deadline for sending in public comments is 5 PM on August 13. If you don't participate in the process, you forfeit your right to complain about the outcome.
This issue also contains an update on the work of the OSAC Subcommittee on Fire and Explosion Investigations and links to some important and/or amusing news articles.
This month's case study describes a very contentious litigation. Even though the good guys won, it took four years, and nobody's life was ever the same.
As always, reader feedback is welcome.
