I am a Nikon guy.
In my shirt I carry a Nikon AW100 now the replacement W300. I have about 100,000 on the shutter and don't use the GPS. I do like the idea of wireless transfer to phone or tablet. Just a suggestion whatever camera you get purchase extra batteries and if possible a charger for 12 volts for the car.
I still use a D750 for investigations but remember the best camera is the one you have with you at the time. Oh ya Camera phones don't count.
