I have been using the TG series for several years and find it to be a very durable camera. The microscope and stacked microscope modes are extremely helpful. I recently purchased an Olympus flash, which can be triggered from the TG in RC mode. It provides the extra flash that is needed in dark and larger rooms. I did find that you must use an Olympus flash. Olympus compatible flashes do not support the RC mode.
