Spoliation Threats

i conducted an investigation and had two manufacturers put on notice. Photo,interviews, receipts, etc were all requested. Homeowner wants to repair and get back in home with his family. Manufacturers keep stalling. How long is a reasonable time for them to schedule the onsite examination. I have scheduled a date for the joint examination. They are threatening a spoliation motion. The homeowner is livid. This is going on over a month. Your thoughts.
