Limitation of Expert Testimony

In 2019, a judge made an important ruling on the acceptance of an expert’s testimony. Where this case addressed the markings caused by firearms, one can see how this information may be used by attorneys in other types of cases. Here the judge prohibited the expert from saying the weapon was the one used to saying he could not exclude this as being the weapon used. See what you think as to the judge’s reasoning and can it be used in fire origin and cause cases.
