Remember folks the NFPA is a book publishing company. NO more NO less. Their job is to sell books that they publish. With that said the contributors (those that sit on committees and author their individual code requirements recommendations are authors or expertes in their fields looking to have their knowledge published in one place by a "BOOK PUBLISHER" The NFPA and ICC are a central repository for information and science regarding fire and life safety put in book form by a publisher.
Now I do understand the need for these book publishing companies and actually use them in my job HOWEVER what would you do and what would you follow if the ICC came out with their version of 921 and Called it the International Code Console Guide or Codes for fire investigation?"
