I had a fire in a house built in 1910. There were at least three, based on conductor style and coating as well as differences in duplex outlets, upgrades to the electrical system. The crazy part is they were spliced together with gaffer tape. I couldn’t locate one junction box for any of the 12 plus connections in the attic. The originated in the attic approximately 30 minutes after two ceiling fans were installed and put in operation.
