The Criminal Code here in Canada includes the crime of arson by both intentional acts and by negligence or recklessness.
1. Is arson by negligence or recklessness a crime in other jurisdictions?
2. Have you ever seen someone charged and/or convicted of arson through negligence or recklessness?
3. Regardless of whether there was a conviction, what did the accused do that was claimed to be sufficiently negligent or reckless to warrant charging them with a crime?
