Applied Fire Dynamics - Dec. 4th and 5th - Killeen Texas
The Central Texas Fire Investigators Association (CTFIA) in association with
Gregory E. Gorbett, MScFPE, MS, CFEI, IAAI-CFI, CFPS, MIFireE
of Eastern Kentucky University presents:
Applied Fire Dynamics for Fire Investigators
December 4 & 5 in Killeen Texas
This training program is designed to help students develop an understanding of fire dynamics within compartments, including compartment fire behavior, heat transfer, pre- and post-flashover conditions and heat release rate curves.
These fundamental concepts will be linked to ignition sequence, origin determination, and fire pattern development and how patterns can be accurately used in determining the area of origin.
COURSE SCHEDULE:
TUESDAY
4 hours (chemistry of fire 1-hour, heat transfer 1-hour, fuels 1-hour, fluid dynamics 1-hour); 4 hours (heat release rates, plume development, compartment fire dynamics)
WEDNESDAY
4 hours (compartment fire dynamics relationship to fire patterns); 4 hours (fire pattern research and relationship to origin).
REGISTRATION INCLUDES: Continental Breakfast, Breaks & Lunch each day, as well as an invitation to the opening night reception.
APPROVED for 16 hours C.E. through TCLEOSE and TCFP.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT APPROVED through the TIFMAS & HB-2640 programs administered through Texas Forest Service.
