The Central Texas Fire Investigators Association (CTFIA) in association with Texas A&M Forest Service present:

Wildland Fire Origin and Cause Determination ( FI-210 ) November 26-30, 2012



Mike Heath with FLETC is the lead instructor for this 5-day hands-on event, and one of the individuals who wrote the curriculum for this sought after course.


This course is APPROVED for 40 hours C.E. through TCLEOSE and TCFP and awards both NWCG and FLETC certificates.


REGISTRATION INCLUDES: On-campus Lodging (dorm-room type 2 to 4 students per room), Course Materials, Breakfast and Lunch each day as well as the Team Builder Dinner Sunday evening. Alternate lodging arrangements are available at additional cost.


INSTRUCTORS:
Mike Heath is employed by the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco Georgia. Senior Instructor in the Investigative Operations Division, Forensics and Special Investigations Branch he is the Program Coordinator for the Center's Wildland Fire Investigation training programs.

Jonathan Calore is the assistant to the Law Enforcement Chief for the South Carolina Forestry Commission and has over 13 years in Fire Service with 8 years in Law Enforcement and Fire/Arson Investigations.


DATES / LOCATION: This course will take place on the Texas Tech University campus in Junction Texas November 26-30, 2012.

HOTEL: On-campus Lodging is provided (dorm-room type 2 to 4 students per room) however off-site/alternate accommodations are available at additional cost – contact association for details.
