Scope:

The successful candidate will be a full time integral part of the Fire Team, working under a Senior Fire Investigator. As a Junior Fire Investigator, you will provide;

• Fire and explosion investigations at commercial, industrial and residential locations;
• Work towards a CFEI or CFI designation;
• Directly liaise with clients on a regular basis;
• Develop suitable testing and analysis protocols;
• Prepare clear and concise technical reports in an efficient and professional manner;
• Liaise with Fire and Police Departments regarding Requests for Information;
• Plan and manage projects and prepare material cost and timing estimates;
• Have experience with or work towards providing expert testimony in court; and,
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in an Engineering based subject an asset.
• Working knowledge of fire or fire related disciplines and asset.
• Working towards P.ENG, CET or suitable Trade License.
• Exposure to engineering in a consulting environment preferred.
• Excellent technical writing skills a must.
• Good presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong time and project management skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively - both oral and written.
• A "hands on” aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle;
