Potential Forum Software Update --Lurkers Included--Please respond

I have been informed by the software designer that they may have much more updated forum software for us to use next year. If I can convince him to do this, the entire site will be down for a short period while it will be backed up and switched over to a new more up to date software (this verision is many years old) including the ability to share pdf files as well as jpgs.
The question I have for everyone is what main additions/updates would you like to see implemented in the software?
I am asking many people, including the typical lurkers to please post your responses here.
