I am not saying what you have in the document is not good. What I am saying is a simple definition in the definition section would alleviate a lot of misunderstanding. The definition in the paper is perfect. Would there be a harm if this was included in the definitions?
A comparison sample is defined as a sample, which to the best of the investigatorÂ’s knowledge is identical to the suspect sample in every respect except that no accelerant has been applied to the material being selected for comparison.
