This seminar exposes public and private forensic fire and engineering experts on the basic principles of civil procedure, which is the body of law that sets the rules and standards that courts follow when adjudicating civil lawsuits.
This hands-on seminar will reinforce both the concepts as well as their application.
The Socratic Method will be utilized to flesh out difficult legal concepts and principles, stimulate critical thinking, and to draw out ideas and underlying presuppositions. Extensive pre-class case reading, and briefing will facilitate efficient and successful in-class participation and experiences.
Handouts and case studies will be furnished prior to the seminar.
