Dear Joe, If you have any technical expertise, knowledge, training, or any other technical questions about fire investigation please participate. If you only have inane comments, and complaints please do not become the Lola Cator of 2006. Isn't there another "chat room" for those who are "dazed and confused?"

Jim, This section (18.6.2) has always been problematical throughout the history of 921. It has been modified many times. There are currently multiple proposals on this section to be considered week after next at the committee meeting in Kansas City. Watch this space for continuing news.

I thought that grand jury testimony is supposed to be secret. This was a substantial part of why the judge excluded the "fire scientist's" testimony. Just what grand jury testimony do you have, how and from whom did you get the information? RHETORICAL QUESTION - DO NOT ANSWER. GET SOME LEGAL ADVICE.

OK Joe, I'm done. By the way your post (and some of your previous posts) are exactly what some Judges call "Contempt of Court” and what some lawyers and their clients call libel. I am not a lawyer. Do not take legal advice from me or anyone who is not a lawyer. Try to stay out of the same jail that your ex-wife was in.

Jim, This case is not over. He may be called as a witness. If he continues to libel certain individuals he may be called as a civil defendant. And most importantly if he continues to libel the judge he may be called as an inmate. I am not here to give Joe Hayden legal advice. What I am doing is advising him to seek legal advice.

Mr. Hayden, Again I urge you to speak to the prosecutor, or seek other legal advice before publically discussing this case.

Joe, Here is the best advice I can give you. I offer it sincerely and in your best interest. No matter how passionate you are, as well you should be, please contact the prosecutor and inquire if he thinks its is a good idea for you to publically express your opinions about any of the investigators involved, the lawyers, and particularly the judge. If and until he say's its a good ide

Sorry Rich, There simply is no logistically acceptable way to present forty-six individual presentations more than once in a three day Symposium. That is the reason that nearly all scientific and engineering conferences provide published proceedings. Pat

Sorry Chris, The papers are not available for individual downloading. A copy of the Symposium Proceedings book is available for purchase. Or you can try contacting the individual authors to request a copy of their individual presentations directly from them. Pat

Dear Joe, I was not threatening you. You have nothing to fear. I was merely trying to point out that personal and professional attacks under the “dark of night” of a hidden identity and hidden agenda are not the actions of an honorable or courageous man. I do applaud your finally identifying yourself, so that now we all can see your reasons for the original post and your deeply held concer

YOUR SIR ARE A COWARD. Here sir is the second personal attack on the new format of the forum. However, unlike you, everyone knows where to find me. In case you are too "dazed and confused" to find me - 857 Talevast Road, Sarasota, Florida. Bring your lunch, I might get hungry.

Congratulations John, You are the recipient of the first personal attack in the new forum format; an attack by a pusillanimous, anonymously unnamed coward; an attack not only upon your expertise, and professionalism, but upon your character; an attack by an unmitigated scoundrel. Can anyone now put forward any valid argument for the anonymity of such lowlife?

Thank You Tony, I missed that. But for the others, as well as the new poster TWM, do we really want to take advice or discuss arson cases and issues with someone when we don't know who they are?

Thanks for the favorable review Joe. It is always appreciated, especially when it comes from a 921 committee guy. There were more than 190 delegates, presenters, sponsors, spouses, and specially invited guests in attendance from seven different countries (Barbados, Canada, Holland, Israel, Peoples Republic of China, Uganda, and the USA. There were more than 46 papers presented over the three

Right Dave, The problem is those individuals who neither sign their name or post it on their profiles. By the way I tried to change my sign in name to my regular name, but couldn't figure out how to do it. Signed: John Doe

Chris, You missed my point. My question has nothing to do with not allowing anyone to post whatever they want, even you. My concern is that no one be able to hide their opinions, especially the stupid or libelous ones behind anonymity. This has happened many times before. Pat

I note that a few of the posters here on the new version of the Forum have not seen fit to list their real names in their profiles. Would this not be a good time to require such identifications and thereby prevent some of the past problems of anonymous, negative postings?
