I recently had a vehicle fire where the suspect used a torch type lighter and held it to the rear plastic bumper just below the lic. plate. Once the plastic caught fire, the flames spread laterally to the rear tail lights and vertically to the plastic body trim of the trunk.

Fire crews arrived and extinguished the fire before the flame spread to the trunk and pax. compartment.

Those torch lighters are nasty.
