General Motors is recalling 218,000 Chevrolet Aveo sedans and hatchbacks for electrical fires, according to a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The 2004-2008 Aveo has a module controlling the daytime running lamps that can melt and cause a fire. GM did not provide any details but said it would include a timeline of the problem within the next two weeks, a gap in information that has become a precedent for the company as it issues recalls at a very rapid pace. GM did not even describe the fix or when the repairs would begin. Owners can call Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 when there is more information.

This is the 30th recall for GM this year and was not included in Tuesday's four recalls that affected 2.42 million cars and trucks. GM has recalled more than 13 million cars worldwide since the start of 2014.
