I don't visit this site real ofter, so if this has already been discussed, please forgive me.
I just found out that there was a class action suit with Sony, concerning a defect on many of their digital cameras (including video). I know that many of us use their cameras, so I thought you might want to know about this.
It looks like they will make free repairs, including shipping, on cameras that develop problems related to failure of this particular part. Please visit the following website for more information:
