We all have different opinions on different topics but in reading all the post I can see a common bond and that is everyone has the interest of making this the best profession it can be. The passion shown by the individuals should not be misunderstood as a negative reaction but as a positive reaction. What this is telling me is that all of us are here to ensure that accurate determinations are made when investigating an incident.

The arguing I have seen is really intense and it reminds me of two brothers always fighting over little things that outsiders can never understand, but God help anyone taking on one of the brothers.

Where I seem to bash 921, I do not want there to be a misunderstanding in my belief that this document has done more for making fire investigation a true profession than any other document produced during my life time. I think we should give three cheers to those that have taken their time and money to produce such a document. To me when the development of 921 started it was like turning on a bright light in a dimly lit room. I believe we have jumped years ahead of where we would have been because of this document and believe me it took courage to have your name on this document when it was first produced.

Where it seem like I have gotten into it with a number of different person posting with different opinions, let me assure everyone that I hold these individual with the highest regard for what they have done when it comes to professionalizing fire investigation. I find when these individual push is when I do my best research. This learning only does more to make me a better investigator and for that I give them many thanks. It would be much easier for them to sit and not say anything but by taking the heat and stimulating not only discussion but research into the topic they are improving our profession.

I know in my heart that we all have the same goals and let us continue to strive to be the best we can be in this profession and I want to thank everyone that has posted for it is through these postings that understandings are reached.
