Insurance Company Payment for FD Services

Just learned that several of the volunteer FD in my state (AL) are having problems receiving payment for fire supression services under State Farm homeowners policies. State Farm justification for denying payment is "by recovering the cost of service provided by a volunteer fire department would appear to be contrary to the very nature of a volunteer fire department."

Interested in hearing from anyone across the US who is or has experienced the same type of problems with State Farm.

Will pass on all helpful information to our volunteer departments.
