What is scary about this whole scenario is the amount of sprinkler systems i find not being properly maintained.
Went to bid a fire system other day and found sprinklers to a shopping complex were turned off 3 years ago and never reacivated after remodeling was done.
no electronic valve tampering and no lock and chain and outside post indicator valves very scary scenario.
It also bothers me because so many times we allow lesser contruction of a building when it is fully sprinklered becuse we automatically assume the sprinklers are going to work. This practice needs to stop or more stringent sprinkler maintance code enforcement needs done.
