You had an explosion.

The relevance of the MPD is questionable, however. First, the vapor pressure of the MPD can be quite low, depending on the carbon number range, making it an unlikely candidate for an explosive mixture. Second, MPD is a common solvent, so I would want to know the substrate and the concentration found in the samples. Did the residue blow the peaks off the chart, or is this just barely detectable? If the substrate is finished wood flooring and the concentration is low, you may be seeing background.
