Dan, I have to agree. I have not been trained in Reid, but I have been trained in SCAN. It is a very useful technique that is, quite simply, a tool.
In my experience, I have never been involved in a case where there was a so-called "false confession". Is there anyone out there with a legitimate account (not seminar folklore) of a person falsely confessing in an arson case? Not a confession that was, for example, taking some uttered words out of context. I'm talking about a legitimate, false confession.
I'm truly interested in this.
