It is interesting that yesterday, March 25, was the 107th Anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire.

147 people, mostly young women working for very low wages, many of who were Russian emigres perished.

Exits doors were locked to prevent theft. The owners were charged and tried for murder, but they were not convicted.

This was called "the fire that changed America" because it resulted in changes in Labor Safety and Fire Safety laws.

Maybe the Winter Cherry Mall fire will be the "fire that changed Russia."
