Gone: Me, Jeff Morrill, Wayne Chapdelaine, Rick Roby, Doug Carpenter, Stuart Sklar, David Smith, Greg Gorbett and others. Combined, the committee has lost over a hundred years of standards development experience. That was probably the intention, but there has been zero transparency in the process. NFPA canceled a June meeting on less than 2 months notice after folks had bought their plane tickets. No explanation was offered. Not so much as a "sorry for the inconvenience." No offer to cover the change fees.
Then, committee members were asked to reapply for membership. Again, no explanation was offered.
Members with 20+ years experience were not reappointed without so much as a "thank you for your service."
I'm sure everything will be just fine.
