I appreciate your feedback. I don't get on the forum much anymore. I remember in 1991/1992? that the Nashville office for the ATF approached us in the insurance industry and indicated that they wanted to tag along on any of our fires to get numbers in order to certify. This sounds about the time that they instituted the 2 year minimum training to qualify. Do you know what the qualifications were prior to the 2 year minimum and/or the first CFI's the ATF recognized? What type of training did they have to have? Any information you can provide will be appreciated.
