Calcination of Gypsum Wallboard

Ran across a fire investigator that is saying a green or turquoise color of gypsum wallboard indicates a second phase of calcination after exposure to a fire.
I am pretty familiar with the available scientific literature on the calcination of gypsum wallboard and (outside of impurities) have never heard the color change to green or turquoise as being any indication of the extent of calcination.
Has anyone else heard or seen the use of such an indicator with respect to the calcination of gypsum wallboard?
