Dear Colleagues:

The Spring 2021 edition of my newsletter "Sifting the Ashes" is now available at www.firescientist.com.

This issue contains a 30-year retrospective on the Lime Street Fire Test, an update on the new edition of NFPA 1033, which is due out this Summer, and a case study from a 1992 Mississippi homicide case that resulted in an innocent man being wrongly convicted and held for 28 years, most of it on death row at Parchman Penitentiary. The invalid arson component was a small but important part of the state's invalid case.

As always, your questions or comments are welcome.

I will be attending the 2021 IAAI International Training Conference in Atlantic City April 18-23. If you're planning to attend, please come by and visit.

Best Regards,
