There is an article in the April 2007 issue of the IAAI Fire and Arson Investigator entitled "The Suppression of Fires Using Compressed Air Foam" This article indicates that the presence of foam may cause some interference with laboratory testing for some types of ignitable liquids.

This article was based on limited testing and indicated that additional testing and research should be done.

The article is also available on the member's only section of the IAAI web site at www.firearson.com

Thanks

Bobby
