The Member and Graduate titles are awarded by examination through the Institution of Fire Engineers. Although the Institution was originally established and chartered in the UK in 1918 it now has world wide recognition, including a USA Chapter. www.ife-usa.org
Passing the examinations entitles an individual to conferment of MIFireE or GIFireE.
The US Chapter of "Institution" has been growing over the last few years and has also had a prescence at the FDIC Conferences.
