Pittsburgh Police cars pulled from Service Fire danger

City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Police all bought new 2006 Chevy Impala
police package cars and started having problems with smoke comming out from under the hood It apears after market wiring for lights computers etc was not properly placed and high enough temp loom used under the hood by the sub contractor who did the vehicles for the dealer.
Since checy reconfigured the engine compartments in the 2006 impalas.
aprox 27 city 3 county units have ben pulled from service till correction to wiring and loom which holds it is corected.
