Teflon skillets

During a fire scene examination, I found a 10” aluminum skillet with the side melted and an imprint of the electric range eye embedded on the bottom, causing me to believe that the stove was on this is the source of ignition for the fire. The occupant insists that the range was off and that he had not used it for over 24 hours. I have concerns that this he was in the process of drying methamphetamine in the above described skillet, but lack additional proof. There was a bluish – green colored metal exposure on one side of the lip of the skillet.
I have seen similar discoloring on tank fittings used to hold anhydrous ammonia, but the home’s occupants says that the discoloring ifs due from the result of the skillet’s protective Teflon liner burning off during the fire. Can anyone offer any information about your experiences with stove fires with the melting and/or burning of Teflon protected skillets.
