ISFI 2010 ABSTRACT DEADLINE EXTENDED
Mostly as a result of many of the regular contributors to ISFI, being dilatory (you know who you are), the deadline for submission of abstracts for presentations at The 2010 International Symposium on Fire Investigation Science and Technology has been extended to April 1, 2010.
This is a good chance for those who were on the fence about participating as a Presenter to still get their abstracts in “under the wire.”
Being a Presenter at ISFI has several benefits: a substantial discount on the registration free; having your work peer reviewed by the ISFI Executive Committee and published in the widely respected and widely distributed ISFI 2010 Proceedings; the chance to actually personally present and discuss your work and ideas with some of the most prestigious of your colleagues; and not least, joining the ranks of others who have presented and been published at ISFI. These ranks include such prominent fire investigation professionals as , Munger, Drysdale, Babrauskas, DeHaan, Icove, Lentini, Beyler, Hopkins, Gorbett, Hicks, Carpenter, Roby, Ferrino-McAllister, Torero, Streit, Gottuk, Carmen, Sklar, Watson, Churchward, Smith, Custer, Cox, Crombie, Shanley, Wood, Buc, Hoffman, Hewitt, McKenna, Armstrong, McGill, Beasley, Cope, and many others.
If some of the above names are not familiar to you, they should be. Here’s another good reason to attend ISFI either as a presenter or a delegate - the chance to meet and discuss issues with these important fire investigation and fire science leaders.
The deadline is for abstracts only, potential presenters need not have their full presentations completed until August 13, 2010.
ISFI 2010 will be held at the University of Maryland, University College, on September 27-29, 2010.
Abstracts can be submitted electronically at www.isficonference.com
