Requires 8-10 yrs. exp. with origin & cause. Must have an in-depth understanding of fire behavior & working knowledge of building construction. Must have in-depth knowledge of types of fuel, the ease of ignition of each fuel & the impact of each fuel on the development of the fire. Must be capable of collecting, securing, packaging & transporting physical evidence (accident & incendiary fires) in the proper manner. Must be capable of documenting a fire scene through the use of still & video photography. Must have prior experience as an expert witness. Certified Fire Investigator Designation required. Must be capable of being licensed as a Private Investigator within 30 days of employment. Dependable vehicle, cellular phone & laptop required.
