I hope to see some of you at Interflam 2016 and also at my class on electrical fires ("New Developments in Electrical Fires"). The conference runs Mon - Wed, July 4-6, 2016, while the electrical class is on July 7. Both will be at the Royal Holloway College in London. The venue is only a few miles from Heathrow airport and is a short cab ride away. Accommodations can be booked on campus, or elsewhere if you wish. Details on the conference are available at [
www.intersciencecomms.co.uk], while information on my class can be found at [
www.intersciencecomms.co.uk].
Interflam, in my experience, is the most comprehensive fire safety conference anywhere. It has been going on since the 1980s and brings together researchers, laboratory specialists, forensic scientists, and various other professionals who deal with fire or explosion safety issues. One important reason for its value is that a book of the full-length papers is available to the attendees at the start of the conference.
My electrical class will focus on new developments in the study of electrical fires. It will include a short review of the basic principle, so the class will be suitable both to individuals who have attended my electrical class in the past, and those who are new.
See you in London!
