Does anyone have info about fires in BMW 535i-2011?.
The car was bought one month prior to incident (2700Km with no maintenance record). The owner didn't notice any problems at allduring this period. one night the owner parked his car after driving 70 kms on a highway. 30 minutes later the janitor told him that the car is in fire. He noticed thick smoke from the left side of the engine compartment, could open the doors with remote control but unable to open the engine compartment. after around 15 minutes the flames engulfed the engine compartment and later on the trunk area. The passenger compartment was not engulfed by flames and all the damage inside is due to excessive heat only.
