Told them in my last mail that they are wrong and even when the engine is shut-down power is not cut-off from all Control units and some parts such as the radiator fan that was my first priority as the cause of this fire. They pretend that the car is equipped with the sleep mode that shut off power from all circuits one after the other. Here also I said that this feature might have failed and didn't cut-off the power or, worse, sent wrong commands...My negotiations with BMW are pending since couple of weeks on Insurance request. I am sure that, since we couldn't confirm which part caused the fire, the car owner will pursuie the insurance company in the court. I repeated several times to BMW that I am not pretending that the cause is due to a manufacturing defect but to a malfunction or a programming mistake and they do not have to worry about their reputation...Until now they denied any responsibility and the last e-mail they sent me is a real comedy. I am waiting to get the green light from the insurance company and might publish it on this site.
