Hello Pat,
I recently investigated a fire involving a 2000 Ford F150. It had undergone the 05S28 repair for the Cruise Control Switch in August of 2006. The fire was quite similar to those that have occurred as a result of the cruise control switch failure. I was unable to find any information related to these failures after the recall repair had been completed. I will be in Lexington, KY. next week and if you are there I can discuss this with you in greater detail.
