Fuel Lines vs. worm-drive hose clamps

I seem to recall a discussion a while back about using (or why not to use) worm-drive hose clamps for fuel lines in vehicles.

Is there anyone that knows the rule/recommendation/standard of care/research, etc., or someplace I can be directed to get information on why you shouldn't use these types on clamps on fuel lines? This is not a fuel injection line, but a much lower pressure...
